We’re so excited to share a special glimpse into one of the highlights of our Chefs in the Classroom season—our Field Trip Day! Thanks to the talented team at Homestead Foods, we now have a beautiful video capturing all the joy and excitement from the day.
One of our participating schools had the unique opportunity to visit Homestead Foods’ farm on Old Vernon Road in Kelowna. This visit was a chance for students to get outside the classroom and experience firsthand where their food comes from. From learning about local agriculture to meeting the animals and exploring the farm, it was an inspiring day filled with curiosity, laughter, and connection.
The video created by Homestead Foods perfectly captures the spirit of the day and the mission behind Chefs in the Classroom—to educate and inspire the next generation about healthy, local food in a fun and engaging way.
We are so grateful to the team at Homestead for welcoming our students and for putting together such a thoughtful and heartwarming video.
